New Year's around the corner and still no referrals for December!

Everyone thought that the CCAA would get referrals out for December for the end of the year. Well, today is Friday, December 30, and no referrals. So it just ain't going to happen. There are now rumors that it will not happe before January 8. We are getting closer, but not close enough. I still believe that we'll get our referral in March. It may not be the beginning of March, but I think March. We'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, here's a New Year's Prayer that I found on the Internet. I think it's appropriate for all of us:

May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making your path easy,
But by making you sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from you,
But by taking fear from your heart;
Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making your life always pleasant,
But by showing you when people and their causes need you most,
     and by making you anxious to be there to help.
God’s love, peace, hope and joy to you for the year ahead.

Roger is travelling. He left yesterday and comes home late late tomorrow night. On Sunday (New Year's Eve), our family will go to church in the morning and celebrate a rather quiet New Year's Eve at home. No parties, no extended family, just us. Monday, again, we'll be spending at home, and then back to work for me on Tuesday. Roger is off the month of January, so this will be his last trip until the beginning of February. We should be starting our new year off well, but I'll write more about that in a separate post.
