Skipping Christmas

Okay. I started this big long post about our Christmas and New Year celebrations. When it became clear that I wasn't going to finish it anytime soon, I decided to skip over it for now and come back to it. Otherwise I will probably never blog again, because it's just too overwhelming.

So the really BIG news over the holidays is that Gracie is now fully potty trained! No more diapers. Yeah!!!! She did all this on her own with just a tad bit of coaxing from us by giving her M&Ms when she was successful. She is doing so well, in fact, that last week we went out and bought her big girl panties. Not training pants, but big girl panties. She calls them her "nonenies" meaning undies. Too cute.

Anyway, that's one of the last remnants of babyhood. All that's left now is for her to move out of a crib into a big girl bed. We're not there yet, and I'm not in any hurry at all to get her there.

It's very nice that we no longer have the expense of formula, baby bottles, baby food, diapers and wipes, but they all seemed to disappear so quickly. She's growing up so fast!
